Students come up with a business plan that solves a relevant problem and send them to us. We will shortlist the best entries from both age groups on the basis of their creativity, viability and marketability and the finalists will present their plans after being mentored by the experts. They can participate individually or as a team of up to 4 students.
The Kidpreneur Competition is open to children between the ages of 10-15. Students will be divided in two categories: ages 10-12 and 13-15. Individuals or teams of up to 4 members are eligible to enter under a single entry. Students are not allowed to participate in more than one contestant team. Each business/team must have one (1) Adult Advisor.
Come up with a business idea as an individual or a team. Fill in the online entry form on the Hackberry website. You will need to clearly articulate your business idea and plan. You will also need to prepare and upload a two-three minute video (“Video”) to describe your business according to the guidelines that are set forth. Make sure to clearly articulate the identified problem, why it is important to address, and how your company’s vision will solve this problem. You may include graphics and examples and you may role play to sell your idea and convey your enthusiasm. On submitting your entry, you will need to pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- per entry by bank transfer.
If you are shortlisted as one of the Finalists to participate in the Mentoring round and the
Kidpreneur Pitch Challenge, you will be expected to have an Adult Advisor or parent to assist you in
preparing for the competition.
At the Mentoring round, your team will be assigned a mentor to help you prepare for the Final Challenge event. Your team will need to be physically present at the Mentoring round and the Final round. Mentors will conduct working sessions where your business will be discussed and you will work to refine your Pitch. At the Kidpreneur Pitch Challenge, your team will present a Shark Tank style pitch to a panel of judges.
